The prospect of starting a new job in accounting can be daunting however, the people at SV are supportive and friendly and will do everything they can to help you succeed. “I’ve found the two most valuable aspects of working for Sayer Vincent to be my colleagues and the clients. As a firm, we have excellent clients and we make an effort to go out and talk to them. The working relationships that we form with our clients mean that we benefit from the enthusiasm that they have for their organisations. This makes our work enjoyable, and our clients are happy to help us. Internally, guidance and support is always on hand, and I’ve found this to be invaluable. There is no doubt that while studying for the ACA is interesting and rewarding, it can also be challenging. Several of the partners and managers trained here at Sayer Vincent, and this is evident as a trainee because it is clear that they know how to put us in the best position to succeed.”

“In my opinion Sayer Vincent offers the perfect platform as a trainee accountant, the work is fulfilling, the support is sensational and professional development is a priority. The exams required to be a Chartered Accountant are challenging, but we receive the training required for the exams at college, and are also given internal training to add to our technical skills. There is also a flexible working policy which really helps in the final stages of exam preparation. Based in an open plan office SV has a welcoming atmosphere and frequent social events to help get to know colleagues at all levels. In terms of the work, we are encouraged to take on a level of responsibility early on. I personally started work on my first client in my second week at work and have not stopped since.”
