ACA qualification

ICAEW stands for The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Established in 1880, they are a world leader of the accountancy and finance profession, supporting over 145,000 chartered accountants globally. They provide qualifications and professional development, share knowledge, insight and technical expertise and protect the quality and integrity of the accountancy and finance profession. Their standards are high, meaning ICAEW Chartered Accountants are always in demand.

Why choose the ACA?

The ACA qualification is one of the most highly sought-after and advanced learning and professional development programmes available. It builds trusted business advisors – in fact, 80% of FTSE 100 companies have ICAEW members on their board. It offers flexible work experience, modular style learning and exams and a globally-connected membership body.

What does the training involve?

The training consists of four elements:

  • 450 days of practical work experience
  • A structured ethics programme, focusing on integrity, objectivity and independence
  • A professionally development programme which covers seven key skills
  • The 15 accountancy, finance and business modules.

Both Sayer Vincent and the ICAEW provide high levels of support to those studying with us and this continues throughout their career journey.
