Sayer Vincent is an audit and advisory firm working exclusively with charities and social purpose organisations. We help social purpose organisations become more effective and enable them to be able to deliver more for their beneficiaries.
The firm has been growing steadily over the last few years and we now have the need for a Chief Operating Officer (COO). This is an exciting new role accountable to the partner group. The COO will lead the firm’s non-client facing operations to establish agile resources that support the execution of the firm’s strategy. The primary mandate for this role is to evaluate and adapt the firm’s operations model to deliver insightful data, value for money and effective service whilst managing security and risk. The role will focus on improving business processes and generating effective and sustainable ways across all support functions. The role has budgetary ownership for those functions and will support the partners with financial analysis and strategic operational decisions.
This is a multi-faceted role that will require the job holder to draw from a broad experience in a similar senior central operational role with an appreciation of the changing external environment. We are looking for someone who is not afraid to get stuck in and is interested in the charity sector. You will be known for your ability to work collaboratively with specialists from a range of disciplines, find innovative solutions and successfully deliver projects and change programmes. You will have also worked constructively with several people in leadership positions.
Any experience of working in a matrix management structure and in a professional practice working in a regulated environment would also be desirable. We are more interested in your practical experience than your exact qualifications, though you are likely to hold a professional qualification or have gained experience in finance, marketing, IT or HR.
We support a range of flexible working options and we are open to discussing what would work for you. The role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive culture where we all work to deliver the best for our diverse group of clients.
Sounds like this role could be your next challenge and curious to find out more? Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to receive a full application pack.
Please note we are unable to sponsor a work visa and will only accept applications from candidates who already have the right to work in the UK.
