What has been your career path so far?
I hold a BA in Accounting and Finance from Birmingham City University, and began my career at a mid-tier accountancy firm, qualifying as an auditor in their Birmingham office. I later moved to their London office to work in the technical financial reporting department. Following this, I gained experience in financial accounting roles before founding my own accountancy practice that specialised in supporting charities and social enterprises. During this time, I also pursued a Master’s degree in Charity Management at St Mary’s University, Twickenham. I recently returned to audit, choosing to join Sayer Vincent because of its strong values and reputation in the charity sector.
What do you enjoy about the charity sector?
I’m deeply passionate about the charity sector and find joy in working with purpose driven organisations. Charities and social enterprises do important work and are at the forefront of addressing the challenges of our time. It is therefore such a privilege to work in the sector and make a contribution to the work that is being done.
Best part of the job?
What makes the role enjoyable is being part of a team that genuinely values collaboration and shared purpose. At Sayer Vincent, there is a strong team culture where everyone pulls together, supports one another and takes pride in the work we do. Whether it s navigating complex technical issues or servicing clients, there is a real collective effort.
What is something people may not know?
I’m proud to serve as a trustee on the board of Trust for London, a charity that supports organisations tackling poverty and inequality across London, through the distribution of targeted grants. This role allows me to contribute both my financial expertise and my deep personal commitment to social justice. I’m passionate about addressing the root causes of poverty and creating opportunities for those who are too often left behind.
What do you get up to outside of work?
Outside of work, I’m a passionate foodie who loves exploring new cuisines- whether that’s trying out the latest restaurant openings or experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen. Cooking is one of my favourite ways to unwind and be creative, especially when sharing meals with friends and family. I also enjoy immersing myself in arts and culture, and you’ll often find me at the theatre or wandering through museums, both at home and while travelling.
