Update on the Charity Accountants’ Conference

Like many across the charity sector, we were deeply saddened by the news that the Directory of Social Change has ceased trading.

For many years, DSC has been a valued source of knowledge, guidance and practical support for charities and voluntary organisations. We have greatly valued our partnership with its team, and its closure is a significant loss to the sector. Our thoughts are with everyone at DSC and all those directly affected.

One of the many things we have been proud to work on together is the Charity Accountants’ Conference, contributing our time and expertise over many years. Sadly, following DSC’s closure, the conference planned for this year will not go ahead.

While the conference itself will not continue, we do not want the valuable learning and conversations behind it to be lost. We are therefore working with speakers and contributors to develop a new, complimentary programme of webinars for January and February 2027. This will be a separate programme, drawing on some of the themes that had been planned for Charity Accountants’ Conference.

Those who registered for the conference will be given priority access, and we will contact them directly once the programme and booking arrangements have been confirmed.

For more than 30 years, the Charity Accountants’ Conference has created an important space for people working in charity finance to learn from one another and share their experiences. We will take time to consider how we can continue supporting this community and creating opportunities for these important connections in the future.
