What has been your career path so far?
I began my career in external audit, spending four years building expertise across diverse industries while qualifying as an ACA in 2021. I then stepped into industry role, leading reporting and finance initiatives, streamlining processes, and strengthening risk management. Seeking broader exposure, I moved to the UK from Pakistan, to gain diverse experience and so joined Sayer Vincent as an Audit Assistant Manager, delivering assurance engagements and partnering with not-for-profit and public sector clients to create meaningful impact.
What do you enjoy about the charity sector?
I enjoy working in the charity sector because it allows me to use my finance and audit skills to support organisations making a real difference in people’s lives. I find it fulfilling to work with purpose driven teams, tackle unique challenges, and help strengthen their financial foundations so they can focus on creating lasting impact.
Best part of the job?
The best part of my job is that audit has always been my favourite, I enjoy diving into the detail, mentoring team members, and leading teams to deliver high quality work that makes a real difference for our clients.
What do you get up to outside of work?
Outside of work, I’m all about balancing adventure and chill time, whether that’s hitting up scenic hikes, discovering new spots, or just relaxing with good food and great company. Keeps life interesting and recharges the batteries.
